Team Nehemiah
What is Team Nehemiah?
The Old Testament book of Nehemiah describes how builders of the Jerusalem wall were also its defenders. Most importantly, they were worship leaders who chose to be a part of facilitating His worship by using their lives and skills to build a wall of protection around His city and temple of worship. What most impressed me about this story was how God pulled in people from so many backgrounds to prepare a place for Him to be worshiped. It wasn’t just the priests or the musicians and singers; He used whoever was willing, according to the gifts and skills He had already given them.

Team Nehemiah is our team of ministry partners. The team consists of individuals, groups, and churches. Some give materially. Some pray. Some offer their time and services. Some do a combination of things (including sending me encouraging messages
). Really, it’s anyone who is sensing God leading them to partner with and support WFI/Global Impact in preparing a place for God to be worshiped by using anything He has given them.
What does Team Nehemiah do?
We need such a group to build and defend us as we work together to facilitate worldwide worship of God. As with any mission team, we know we are not just a band of 3 staff members, 4 board members, and a varying number of team leaders and members galavanting around the globe playing some tunes. You are an essential part of this ministry. As you help build this ministry with your time and resources, and as you defend what we are building together with your faithful intercession, we believe God will be honored by our collective efforts as He brings more and more people before His throne in worship.
The goal
In this case, bigger really is better! We’re hoping for a minimum of 1000 team members to build and defend Global Impact in particular and WFI as a whole. We know it would be a lot easier administratively to have just a few large-gift donors to cover our expenses, but we really believe the greatest task is prayer…this is where the victor of any spiritual battle is determined.
However, we also need an annual budget of $60,000 to cover both staff support and our growing ministry initiatives. It’s simply a fact in this lifetime that ministries need tangible and quantifiable resources in order to operate. We fully acknowledge God is our supplier, and we want to invite you to join us in this part of His Great Commission.
