What is WFI all about?
And you are…
I probably should introduce myself…my name is Josie Leung. I’m one of three staff members working with WFI. A board of directors completes our core leadership team.

l-r: martin, roy, byron, me, scott, and matt; mia: chris and dave
What is your role with WFI?
The official title of my role with WFI is “Global Impact Coordinator.” Sounds impressive, doesn’t it? But don’t be fooled! Even with all the leadership implications, my main purpose is to follow God. The core function of my role is to listen to His heartbeat for the nations and follow His rhythm and lead. It means I spend my days trying:
- to discern where and how He is wanting to use music and other artistic expressions of worship to break down spiritual barriers and
- to facilitate opportunities for His followers to do just that.
How did you end up here?
I only have enough space here to tell you God led me through a string of seemingly unrelated life experiences — from the dreaded piano lessons every Asian child must endure to a “random” friendship connection with a mission-minded SE Asian to an internet search result — and has been consistently disrupting my comfortable beliefs about who He is and how He works to leave me hungry for what He created me to be and do. It’s a long and on-going story, but it is definitely His story. For now, let’s just thank God for His perfect plan and timing.
Other than those moments I can almost tangibly sense the presence of God, I don’t think I’ve ever been more satisfied than I am in this position. It is the perfect combination of what He has given me in gifts, skills, and experiences.
Worship Foundations International is inspired by Ezra 3.10-11. When the foundation of the temple had been laid, all the people couldn’t help but stop to praise God with everything they had.

Great site and nice text.
