December 21, 2009

Hello! Thanks for praying along with me and indulging in my Christmas song prayer requests last week. It totally helped me remember to pray when we sang it again yesterday. :) For the next two weeks, please help me put the principle behind our outreach method (using worship to tear down spiritual barriers and open doors for spiritual breakthrough) by

  • thanking God for what He has done and will do in our lives and ministries (including your own!)
  • acknowledging His sovereignty in our plans for the coming year
  • enjoying the honor of His presence among us as we celebrate His first coming and anticipate His second coming

If I don’t get to actually see you (and even if I do), Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Praying the Star of Christmas will make Himself known to us in new ways this Christmas and we’ll follow Him as He guides us through 2010.

Hello! Thanks, as usual, for praying! To make things a little less usual ;) , I thought I’d take advantage of all the Christmas music floating around and base a few prayer requests on some of my favorites. (If you like games, you can guess which song these are from.) For this week, can you please pray for:

  • from our fears and sins release us freedom and forward movement in ministry that comes from confidence in Christ and a right relationship with Him; that He would raise more people from their fears about finances and the significant time commitment to go with us on an international trip
  • hope of all the earth Thou art as we hit the common obstacles that small and growing ministries face, we will find our hope in God and in the knowledge of His call on our lives right now…and that we will be equipped to pass that on to people with whom we interact and serve
  • dear Desire of every nation for worship leaders to strategically shape their ministry so all nations, including the US, will increasingly desire God (that’s actually the vision of WFI: musicians everywhere stirring the heart’s longing for God)
  • joy of every longing heart for everyone involved in our ministry to know the joy of worshiping God in spirit and truth

Thanks so much! Have a great week!

Happy beginning of Advent! :) Lots to look forward to on so many levels. This week, can you please pray for:

  • an increase in God’s provision of resources: spiritually, financially, emotionally, mentally…any way possible would be great. :)
  • the team members He has already planned to send out in 2010: for their application process (apps due Dec 7…we’ll need to be discerning about that deadline)
  • team dynamics among our staff: not that we don’t enjoy each other! but want to keep refining and improving how we reflect God as a community for His glory. definitely grateful for their fellowship in this!

Thanks so much! Have a great week!

Happy Thanksgiving week! Praying the Lord will give us eyes to see the many reasons He has given us to be thankful!

This week, please pray:

  • I’ll grow in gratefulness (I’ve been finding it very easy to complain lately – even if I don’t say it out loud!)
  • diligence to complete tasks well: besides WFI, I’ve been taking on a few extra side jobs, and everyone would like to be finished by Wednesday
  • boldness: to trust God with what I can’t do (why is it easier to worry about things beyond my control than to hand them over to the One who is in control?!)

Thanks! I’m so looking forward to spending time with family and making space for memories of God’s goodness. Hope you will have the same!

Hello! There’s always lots for which to be thankful, yes? I’m thankful for YOU :) as you shore us up with your prayer. This week, please pray for:

  • final set-up details for next year’s teams to fall into place
  • hosts and team participants
  • that God grants me the ability to keep all the little pieces of information straight and organized in my mind and in my communication

Thanks so much!
