Blatant

This semester, I re-enrolled as a student at a community college. I always thought I’d want to keep learning something, but that’s not the only reason I made my student comeback. When I realized I should probably upgrade my software because it was 3 generations behind the current release, I shopped around and was reminded how beneficial it is to have a student ID. In an introduction of Gary Haugen at an IJM event, the MC recounted a conversation they had early on in their friendship. Qualified

Every once in awhile, I like to dream small. :) The latest tech gadgets are shrinking with each new model. I haven’t been following the trends that closely as of late, but it’s hard to not know Apple has released some really nice toys in the last 6 months.

I’m actually pretty content with a 5-year old PowerBook G4. It has given me cause for a little concern over the last week, but for the most part it has served me well and longer than I had a right to ask, especially since it’s working for me 10-15 hours a day, 6 days a week. I almost feel like I’m cheating on it when I dream about replacing it with a newer, shinier model.
